Originally from St. Louis, MO, Drew moved to Boston in 1993 to study at The Boston Conservatory. He received a BFA in Musical Theatre with a concentrate in Directing.
In '97, Drew moved to New York. There he appeared Off-Broadway in "Tony n' Tina's Wedding", and toured as a backup singer for Liza Minelli (yup.).
In 1999, Drew moved to Berlin to star as Quasimodo in Disney's "Hunchback of Notre Dame". Drew opened to critical and public acclaim, and even received his own portrait from the Broadway legend Al Hirschfeld.
After more than 580 performances, he moved to Vienna. Drew has since, been in the Vienna revival of "Hair" as Berger, Cousin Kevin in The Who's "Tommy", Hedwig in the Berlin production of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", and in "Lapdog and Wildcat" which he wrote with his lovely wife, Anne.
Drew (having grown up with everything from Jeff Buckley, Bad Religion, Jane's Addiction, and The Beatles to Maxwell, Lenny Kravitz, Billy Joel, and the Beach Boys) has been writing and recording his own music since 2000, and now has a slamming new band in Vienna.
He has come back over to NYC periodically to play acoustic gigs, thanks to his friends at The Westside Tavern and Lilly Coogan's. Information about gigs will always be posted here. Promise.
